Thanksgiving Friday

November 26 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

$5 – $12

Travel back to the 1600s at Connecticut’s oldest house when the Henry Whitfield State Museum opens to the public on November 26. Take a self-guided tour of all three floors of the 1639 stone house filled with furnishings and artifacts. Learn about the interactions between the Menunkatuck band of the Quinnipiac tribe and the English colonizers of Guilford. Explore the inside of the Whitfield House with the “What is That?” and “Material World” scavenger hunts. Explore the museum grounds with the “I Spy Bingo” activity sheet and the “Outdoor Scavenger Hunt” available at the parking lot kiosk.

Bring donations for the Guilford Food Bank and new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. Collection bins are located in the museum’s Visitor Center, which also houses the museum gift shop with a wide assortment of books, souvenirs, toys, and home goods for everyone on your holiday shopping list.
